Lakshmikantham, Distinguished Professor and Head of the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Florida Institute of Technology is the founder of the International Federation of Nonlinear Analysts, IFNA. Dr. Lakshmikantham received his B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. degrees in Mathematics from Osmania University, Hyderabad, India. He served at the faculties of UCLA, Unversity of Alberta, and Chairman of Mathematics at Marathwada University URI and University of Texas at Arlington. Dr. Lakshmikantham was also research professor at the presigious Mathematics Research Center of U.S. Army and the Research Institute of Advanced Studies. He has published more than 400 research publications in academic journals. Professor Lakshmikantham is the founder of more than several professional academic journals in which he served as chief-editor. He has served and is presently serving on the Editorial Board of more than 20 academic journals. He has authored more than 40 books, research monographs or edited proceedings. He has advised and directed the doctorial and post doctorial research of more the 50 students of diverse nationalities. Dr. Lakshmikantham has been on invited lectures in almost all developed and developing countries world-wide. He is a life long member of many global scientific societies. He has been honored extensively for his truly outstanding academic and education contributions. |
