WCNA 1992- First World Congress of Nonlinear Analysts

In order to promote, encourage and sustain the interest in the theory and application of nonlinear analysis arising in diverse disciplines, the International Federation of Nonlinear Analysts (IFNA) sponsored the First World Congress of Nonlinear Analysts (WCNA-92) in Tampa, Florida, USA during August 19-26, 1992.

The First World Congress had an attendance of approximately 1200 participants, with a total of 786 talks out of which there were 40 keynote speakers, 80 special organzied sessions consisting of about 600 talks by experts, and over 140 contributed papers. The proceedings of the Congress consist of four volumes of 1000 pages each in book form.

The publication date of these proceedings is 1996. For further information regarding these proceedings, please contact Dr. Manfred Karbe , Publisher, Walter de Gruyter, Publishers, Inc., Mathematics Divis ion, Genthiner Straße 13, D-10785 Berlin, Germany

About the World Congress

The World Congress is the first internatinal forum to be devoted to the mathematical analysis of nonlinear phenomena. Many world class experts participated by giving plenary lectures, by chairing and organizing special sessions of invited speakers in var ious disciplines, and by serving as local contacts in countries around the world. The broad nature of the Congress is reflected by the scope of topics to be covered, including:

  • Nonlinear Operators
  • Dynamical Systems
  • Control Theory
  • Systems Analysis
  • Mathematical Modelling
  • Computational Mathematics
  • Stochastic Analysis

These topics have applications in all areas of engineering, technology, environmental sciences, economics, physical sciences, biological sciences, and behavioral sciences.

Participants from all over the global gathered together to take part in this historic event.
